Welcome to volume 7 issue 7 of Monthly Mineral Chronicles. This is a publication pulled together by a mineral collector for mineral collectors.
This month, in this 65 page full-colour issue we have the following articles:
- Actinolite Find in the 1960s in California. This month, Rolf tells us about an actinolite find from when he was a kid.
- Minerals and Elements: Arsenic – The next in the series, arsenic, a very toxic and potent poison.
- Mineral Snippet – Botallackite, a mineral that was thought to be a variety of atacamite for almost a hundred years.
- Illustrated Minerals of Australia Volume 3, Part 12 – Ianthinite to Ilmenite. The next installment of a significant undertaking documenting the 1,500 or so mineral species recorded in Australia.
- A new book: A Practical Guide to Collecting Minerals and Crystals, by Tony Forsyth.
- Locality Snippet – Bicker’s Quarry, Dargaville, New Zealand. This month, We look at the zeolites and other minerals from a small disused quarry in New Zealand.
Again this month, for many of the excellent images, is the ability to click on the image to bring up a larger version. Not only do you get a bigger version, but in some cases, the image you see published may be a cropped version.
This issue is now available at Kofi.
